This was a three day trip to Wakkerstroom, in Mpumalanga Province, 3-4 hours south of Johannesburg. It is one of the prime birding locales in South Africa, especially famous for waterfowl and larks. The scenery was also pretty, as seen here, and we saw a fair bit of wildlife. I was guided by Justin Rhys Nicolau, who was great and found almost all my target bird species!
